The propounded project comes under history of Czech philosophy thematically. We agree on the assumption, that all-purpose research of Czech society in period 1939-45 will be up-to-date scholastic challenge still long time and philosophy represents unoversightable constituent of cultural life in our national history of that period. Basically no attention has so far been paid to philosophical life of the period. Despite all restrictions and thematic limitations it presents an interesting and complex structure. The team intends to examine the activity and character of Czech philosophical thinking between 1939 and 1945 in the territory of the Protectorate, the books and journal articlas, critiques and responses of the period. The job will require systematic search of so far unknown sources from the inheritance of many thinkers and the use of memoir literature. An outcome of our work will be a book issue reassuming hitherto works of Czech philosophy history of that period.
