The project follows up on the long-term research of the Department of Archaeology and Museology, Faculty of Arts, Masaryk University (DAM FA MU), focused on social structures from prehistoric to the early modern times in the broadest cultural, spatial and temporal context, both through own field research and especially through its theoretical evaluation using the latest documentation techniques and information technologies, which are not only used at the current top level, but also specially developed for the purposes of archaeological field research and its processing. The project is based on three long-term systematic excavations of key sites (Tešetice-Kyjovice, Pohansko u Břeclavi, Rokštejn u Jihlavy), and on research activities abroad, namely in France (Bibracte), Italy (Montelabate), Albania (Tepelene), on Crete (water management and land use) and in Varna (Bulgaria). DAM students are involved in all research activities, summer vacation practice takes place at the investigated sites in the Czech Republic. The project also includes three partial projects of doctoral students following the main research programmes implemented at the DAM FA MU in the long term.
Results
Research results will be presented primarily in the form of studies in professional periodicals and presentations at professional conferences.
