The main aim of my project is to advance the field of hazard identification and next-generation risk
assessment of chemicals and their mixtures, with a specific focus on their impact on male reproductive
health. This project involves developing and applying non-animal approach methods (NAMs) to assess
testicular steroidogenesis within a context that closely mimics human physiology. My goal is to faithfully
recapitulate the stage-specific characteristics and functions of Leydig cells, thus enabling a comprehensive examination of the effects of chemicals during critical developmental windows.
